Few details, many questions in suspected Duluth homicide

June 1, 2015 at 3:21AM

Homicide is suspected in a death reported to Duluth police early Saturday evening.

Police said Sunday they learned about the body shortly before 7 p.m. and that it was located at a house in the 100 block of Fir Avenue. That's near Central Park and just north of Piedmont Avenue.

There have been no arrests in what police described in a statement as "not … a random act." Police remained on the scene throughout Sunday morning.

There is no information available yet about the age or gender of the victim. Nor have police revealed how the person was killed or what may have led to the death.

Officer Ron Tinsley said the department would have more to say about the killing on Monday.
