The latest happened around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday when a man held up the TCF Bank at 459 Lexington Pkwy. in St. Paul, said FBI Special Agent Paul McCabe.
The culprit presented a teller with a threatening note demanding cash. No weapon was displayed. He left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, McCabe said.
On Monday, robbers held up TCF Banks in Cub Food stores in Roseville and Maplewood, and the Guaranty Bank inside the Rainbow Foods in Plymouth.
Authorities making a traffic stop Wednesday in Inver Grove Heights arrested a man suspected of robbing the Maplewood Cub Foods store on Monday.
That man, Samuel Patrick Sutton, has been charged with robbing the TCF Bank in the Cub Foods store at 2021 S. Robert St. in West St. Paul on Nov. 13, McCabe said.
The perpetrator in Wednesday's heist is described as a white man in his mid- to late-40s, of medium build and 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches. The robber has a pockmarked face and was wearing glasses, black stocking cap, black jacket and black gloves at the time of the holdup.
