ESPN announced its ESPY award nominations Thursday and Brett Favre is on the list in several categories.

Favre is nominated for Best Record-Breaking Performance for setting the NFL record for consecutive starts. He is competing against Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt (100 and 200 world records), tennis player Roger Federer (most Grand Slam titles), the Connecticut women's basketball team (longest winning streak in women's NCAA history) and tennis players John Isner and Nicolas Mahut (longest professional tennis match ever)

Favre's last-second touchdown pass to Greg Lewis against San Francisco is in the Best Play category. This category is not included in initial voting phase, according to ESPN.

Favre's performance in his return to Green Bay (244 yards passing, four TDs) earned him a nomination for the Castrol Edge Performance Under Pressure Award. He is up against Sidney Crosby (Olympic gold medal game), Landon Donovan (game-winning goal vs. Algeria in World Cup) and phenom pitcher Stephen Strasburg (14 strikeouts, no walks in MLB debut).

Favre also is nominated for Best NFL Player, joining Drew Brees, Chris Johnson, Peyton Manning, Darrelle Revis and Charles Woodson.

Fan voting for most of the awards began Thursday and runs through July 10. Fans can vote right here or right here.
