Quarterback Brett Favre and wide receiver Percy Harvin were among four Vikings players to miss practice today as the team began preparations for Sunday's game at Chicago.
Favre also did not practice last Wednesday. It appears this might become a weekly thing for him to get Wednesdays off in order to rest the stress fracture in his left ankle and fracture in the same heel. The Vikings also added a calf injury for Favre.
Favre also has been battling tendinitis in his throwing elbow, something that was taken off the report a few weeks back, and last week had his chin listed after getting stitches following a hit he took late in the Vikings' loss at New England.
Harvin, who has a sprained left ankle, was not at Winter Park today after he had another episode of migraines. It's not certain if Harvin will be ready to go on Thursday.
Also missing practice were cornerback Asher Allen (concussion) and safety Jamarca Sanford (hamstring).
Right tackle Phil Loadholt (knee) and nose tackle Pat Williams (elbow) were limited. Defensive end Everson Griffen (shoulder) and cornerbacks Lito Sheppard (hand) and Frank Walker (hamstring) were listed on the report but took part in all of practice.
For the Bears, center Olin Kreutz (hamstring) did not practice today. Cornerbacks Zackary Bowman (foot), Tim Jennings (knee) and D.J. Moore (head) were limited.
