A 60-year-old man from Faribault, Minn., was killed Thursday evening when his car collided with a semitrailer truck in Rice County.
According to the State Patrol, the man’s 1995 Pontiac Grand Am was turning east onto Hwy. 21 when it was struck broadside by the westbound semi near Hwy. 99. The crash happened around 5:30 p.m.
The Pontiac driver, Randy J. Hansen, died at the scene. The semi driver, Scott Brown, 37, of Springfield, Minn., was not hurt.
