Shaylyn Bernhardt

31, external affairs assistant, Minneapolis Institute of Arts

What are you wearing? Dolce & Gabbana dress; ASOS feather cape, clutch and gloves; shoes from DSW, Rachel Roy jewelry, and I knitted the shrug underneath the cape.

Describe your style: I'm like a 5-year-old playing dress-up most days.

What do you buy on the cheap? Everything! I wait until there's a sale.

What other unexpected place should host a fashion show? An aquarium or a zoo.

Kitty Cotten

23, owner of Geisha Pearl Vintage (www.geishapearl.com)

What are you wearing? Vintage blazer, shirt and bag, H&M shorts, Jeffrey Campbell shoes.

Describe your style: Soft and romantic with a vintage influence.

What's your holiday outfit? Christmas Day my family usually wears our ugly sweaters. Otherwise, something that sparkles.

What other unexpected place should host a fashion show? A winter show outdoors, after sunset with white Christmas lights draped over the runway.

Nick Lemere

26, choreographer/dancer and server

What are you wearing? Jacket from Saks Fifth Avenue, vintage shirt, H&M pants, thrifted suspenders, and vintage boots given to me by my grandfather.

Describe your style: Right now I'm into a Truman Capote look: classic, refined yet flamboyant.

What do you splurge on? Custom pieces, vintage sunglasses and boots.

What other unexpected place should host a fashion show? Tarnish & Gold Gallery.

Maya Beecham

32, program coordinator at a nonprofit organization

What are you wearing? Gap turtleneck, dress from Look Inc. (a defunct clothing store that was in northeast Minneapolis), Express belt, Marc Fisher heels.

Describe your style: Eclectic.

What do you buy on the cheap? I like to buy quality apparel and shoe brands at bargain prices.

What's your holiday outfit? Black velvet blazer, gold sequined tank top, gray skinny jeans and black pointy-toe half boots.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
