High Heel Dash
Strap on your stilettos and get ready to suffer for fashion. Aegis Foundation's annual High Heel Dash proves that style can be dangerous -- and altruistic. Proceeds from the 25-yard dash along Nicollet Mall (in heels 3 inches or taller) go to benefit the Emergency Foodshelf Network and youth organization Project Footsteps. Guys, you aren't exempt from competition -- dashes for men and women will run in separate heats.

Design Vertigo fashion show
Newly opened North St. Paul boutique Design Vertigo hosts an outdoor fashion show Friday, showcasing the spring collection of popular St. Paul designer Jenny Carle. The line features playful crop tops, high-waisted skirts and sweet summer dresses in Carle's vintage-feminine aesthetic. There will be a car show from 6 to 9 p.m., refreshments and sweets, party favors and swag bags.
