Gaultier for Target
Minnesota gets a taste of Paris when fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier's exclusive collection for Target hits stores this weekend. Gaultier's trademark sailor motifs, stripes, gingham and tattoo and floral prints all make appearances, working as a sort of "greatest hits" from the designer. The 50-piece collection is said to be inspired by classic American fashion, and some of the best pieces -- a classic trench, a leather motorcycle jacket -- are timeless wardrobe staples.

Whether you're heading to the official Oscar party at Hotel Ivy or just going out to watch the telecast with friends, Oscar night always provides an excuse to dress up. Red- carpet stylists predict dresses with corseted tops (covered in fabric, not exposed) will be a trend at this year's Oscars, as well as anything with great color, flowy fabrics from the waist down and asymmetrical shapes --and of course, sexy is always in. The Hotel Ivy party practically demands floor-length, but for more casual parties a cocktail-length hem is appropriate.
