Two former "Project Runway" contestants from Minnesota are making the most of their name recognition with fashion shows this weekend. Hitting the ground running after her elimination from the show in September, Danielle Everine is premiering her fall 2011 mini-collection, Call Me Ishmael. Named for the first line from the novel "Moby Dick," the nautical-themed group of outerwear, dresses and separates, featuring custom prints by illustrator Lisa Luck, will make its debut at an in-store showcase where Everine also will debut her laser-etched travel bags.

Season six fan favorite Christopher Straub is unveiling his spring/summer 2012 collection with a full runway show benefiting the Child Neurology Foundation. Straub looks to be going in an edgier direction with studs, sharply cut jackets, faux snakeskin textures and custom abstract prints. A spiky minidress rendered in black patent looks to be a standout piece. VIP tickets include a pre-reception with apps, a drink ticket and goodie bags.
