Buffalo Exchange opens in Uptown

Buffalo Exchange just opened its first Minnesota location last week in Uptown. The chain, popular with cash-strapped hipsters, joins the locally owned Everyday People in the buy-sell-trade concept. You can use cash, credit or clothing to buy gently used merchandise in the store, including high-end designer clothing, vintage pieces, jeans, leather and accessories. The only catch? Your used clothing has to pass the savvy eyes of the cool-hunting clerks before you can trade it in. Now through April 22 (Earth Day), the store is collecting used furs to be donated to the Humane Society for use as animal bedding.

    Loeffler Randall for Target

If you're tired of combing through clearance racks of winter leftovers, or not ready for the new spring collections landing in stores, Target has a fashion fix for you. High-end design house Loeffler Randall -- celebrated for its shoes and handbags -- just launched its limited-edition collection of, yes, shoes and handbags at Target. The collection includes feminine, sophisticated clutches and ballet flats in patent, metallic python and metallic linen (pictured, $29.99). They're sure to be great transitory pieces to take you from winter to spring.
