Minneapolis fashion designer Arwyn Birch will launch her spring line with an open house at Cliché. Birch's line is heavy on simple silhouettes and vibrant colors and prints. "The entire collection unfolded with each fabric choice" and "was very much molded in design based on its makeup," says the designer.
Also at Cliché, check out a line not carried anywhere else in the state: Heatherette. Yes, the boys of Heatherette have a lower-priced little-sister line of hoodies, dresses and jackets. Right now Cliché has a "Wizard of Oz"-inspired hoodie ($58) and a white coat with pink lining (on sale for $132.30, originally $189). (7-9 p.m. Friday 03/14.)
