Annie Larson at Askov Finlayson

After all but selling out of Annie Larson's pom pom-topped knit hats last fall, Warehouse District boutique Askov Finlayson will up the ante when it debuts her ALL Knitwear line of colorful, Tetris-esque patterned sweaters. That makes the store the only retailer in Minnesota (and one of only a few worldwide) to carry the coveted line by the former Minneapolis designer, who moved to Brooklyn last year. The limited-edition line retails for $200 to $280.

        A. Michele closing sale

Last week, Parisian-styled boutique A. Michele -- which opened in 2008 at Selby and Snelling in St. Paul -- announced it will be closing. And while it's always a blow when a local retailer shutters its doors, the silver lining is the inevitable closing sale. The shop's mix of vintage-inspired slip dresses, fitted jackets, silk blouses, jewelry (excluding consigned), handbags and gifts will be marked 50 to 90 percent off until the store closes at the end of March.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
