Farmers market season: Time is running out

Take advantage of the final weeks of the 2016 outdoor season at more than two dozen Twin Cities metro area farmers markets.

The 2016 outdoor farmers market season is winding down.

This is the last weekend for the Bloomington Farmers Market (Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.) Next week is installment of the Excelsior Farmers Market (Tuesday, 2 to 6 p.m.) and the Maple Grove Farmers Market, (Thursday, 3 to 6 p.m.). The Maple Grove Farmers Market's indoor market is scheduled for Nov. 3 and 15 and Dec. 1 and 13, from 3 to 6 p.m., inside the Maple Grove Community Center.

The rest of the season's schedule is as follows:

SATURDAY

Apple Valley Farmers Market, Apple Valley, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 29

Burnsville Farmers Market, Burnsville, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 29.

Fulton Farmers Market, Mpls., 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct 29. Winter market takes place at Bachman's, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Hopkins Farmers Market, Hopkins, 7:30 a.m. to noon, through Oct. 29.

Midtown Farmers Market, Mpls., 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 29.

Mill City Farmers Market, Mpls., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 29. Winter market takes place at the Mill City Museum on Nov. 12 and 19 and Dec. 3, 10 and 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and continue into 2017.

Northeast Minneapolis Farmers Market, Mpls., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 22. Winter market takes place at Solar Arts by Chowgirls, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15, from 4 to 7 p.m., and continue into 2017.

Richfield Farmers Market, Richfield, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., through Oct. 22.

SUNDAY

Kingfield Farmers Market, Mpls., 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 30. Winter market takes place at Bachman's, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Linden Hills Farmers Market, Mpls., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 30. Winter market takes place at Sunnyside Gardens, Nov. 20 and 27 and Dec. 4, 11 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Savage Farmers Market, Savage, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m, through Oct. 30.

Woodbury Farmers Market, Woodbury, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 30

TUESDAY

Midtown Farmers Market, Mpls., 3 to 6:30 p.m., through Oct. 25.

Roseville Farmers Market, Roseville, 8 a.m. to noon, through Oct. 25.

THURSDAY

St. Paul Farmers Market - St. Thomas More, St. Paul, 1:15 to 5 p.m., through Oct. 28

West St. Paul Farmers Market, West St. Paul, 8 a.m. to noon, through Oct. 28

White Bear Lake Farmers Market, White Bear Lake, 8 a.m. to noon, through Oct. 28

CONTINUING

The Twin Cities two largest markets have longer seasonal hours. St. Paul Farmers Market remains open on Saturday (6 a.m. to 1 p.m.) through Nov. 19, and on Sunday (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.) through Nov. 20. The market's winter season begins Dec. 3 and runs (Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) through April 22, 2017.

Minneapolis Farmers Market is open 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily (its downtown outlet convenes on the Hennepin County Government Center's south plaza on Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.). The market has not posted its 2016 closing dates.
