Thursday: At the Maple Grove Farmers Market, Chef Scott Walter will convert produce from the market into seasonal dishes, with recipes and samples. 4 p.m.
Saturday: At the Minneapolis Farmers Market, blogger Amy Boland is going to demonstrate how to convert market-fresh cabbage into sauerkraut. 10:30 a.m.
Saturday: Sauerkraut is also the theme in the cooking demo station at the Mill City Farmers Market, where former Cafe Brenda chef Nick Schneider offers a step-by-step method and also shares the formula for brined crab apples with tarragon. 10:30 a.m. Eggplant lovers, be sure to stop by the University of Minnesota tasting booth for a sample (9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until supplies last).
Sunday: Grab a fork and take part in the apple recipe bake-off at the Kingfield Farmers Market. 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
