Faribault man pays nearly $5,000 to watch Vikes/Pack with John Randle and Antonio Freeman

A Faribault man is the highest bidder in a Miller Lite eBay auction that benefits cancer research.

We've worked with the folks who put this auction together in years past because it goes to a great cause (Jimmy V Foundation for cancer research), and we are always somewhere between shocked and not surprised at all (would that be normal?) when it comes to the winning bid. We're told this year's winning bid to watch Sunday's Vikings/Packers game was $4,685. Wait, can't you do that for free? Well, yes. But you don't get this (from the official release):

Vance Vinar of Faribault, Minnesota was the highest bidder on a Miller Lite eBay auction which will bring former Minnesota Viking defensive tackle John Randle and former Green Bay Packer wide receiver Antonio Freeman to his home for the November 1st Vikings at Packers game. The players will show up to watch the game, talk football and help Vinar's friends and family taste greatness by sharing some of their great moments from their careers. Additionally, the players will bring all the food and refreshments. All bidding proceeds will go towards The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Not bad at all.

While we're here and talking Vikes/Pack, we should also mention this gem. The book that keeps on giving! Milwaukee is just making him more famous.
