The reported trade of Percy Harvin to Seattle on Monday jolted Vikings fans into action. They commented on Startribune.com in droves, some in support of the trade and others to lament it. Here are the best of those comments:

• probert24: Hats off to Spielman for getting more than most thought. Percy has all-pro talent but is also a prima donna. Sorry to see his talent leave but glad to see the punk side of him gone.

• frannyt: Get Mike Wallace and draft a receiver in the first round and this trade of Percy will be worth it. We would have had to pay Percy big bucks to keep him anyway. Draft a stud linebacker with our other first-round pick. Who knows, maybe Ponder is glad to get rid of Percy. We did win the final four games last year without #12!!

• northsports: Good for Percy to get a fresh start and good for the Vikes as they should get two or more good starters for one very good but temperamental player.

• intoblivion: Seems like a wise move for the team and a decent return, but I sure am going to miss watching Percy play.

• hookshot: Lousy deal. We did not get equal value for Percy. Being a head coach means having to deal with a few headcases. I can understand this move only if Percy had become the second coming of Randy Moss.

• iwlnilla: The one big plus about Harvin's character was that he never really complained in public. That said, when you have two coaches with vastly different personalities and can't get along with either, maybe there's a problem. His talent will be missed, though. It'll be interesting to see what Seattle pays him.

• markoakes: The pressure is now on the scouts. If we don't get a very good player that contributes, then it was a bad trade. I bet we don't get nearly the production out of the players they draft. Percy was a rare talent and will be hard to replace.

• NoMasBS: Seattle just never learns to stop getting players from the Vikings. They're still all mad about the Steve Hutchinson deal. I'm going to bet that the Vikings knew that Harvin didn't want to end up in Seattle, either. Let's see how many migraines he ends up with next year. Seattle, you got robbed again.
