The Twin Cities River Rats Ski Team performed a 'Super Mario World' water ski show on the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis Saturday. JAMES J. HILL DAYS

The Wayzata area community celebrates its 41st annual festival with carnival rides, craft beer festival and youth fishing championship. See the Twin City River Rats perform water skiing stunts and local organizations and celebrities in the parade. A two-night beach bash includes performances by Soul Asylum and the BoDeans. BURNSVILLE FIRE MUSTER

Start this fire prevention festival by shaking a leg at the block party to the music of the Del Counts. See police and fire demonstrations and speak with the Minnesota Fire Engine Club.
