Harvest Family Day

Old-fashioned fun awaits with a day of 19th-century family activities. Learn about how the farmers of yesteryear brought in the harvest and prepared for winter. Make seed art and a book project. Help thresh grain, learn about the science of butter and taste fresh baked bread. A history player shares stories as Mary Dodge Woodward about harvest time on a big farm. (Noon-3 p.m. Sat. $6-$12. Mill City Museum, 704 S. 2nd St., Mpls. 612-341-7555. mnhs.org.)
