BAKKEN TURNS 40

The electrifying museum celebrates its passion for science with free admission on Saturday. Instead, guests are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the Sabathani Community Center food shelf. Enjoy birthday cake and take a birthday-themed picture. Go through the interactive exhibits, including "Frankenstein's Laboratory," "Body Electric" and "Spark of Life." BIG WOODS HALLOWEEN

No tricks here, just a bunch of treats with carnival games and a pumpkin scavenger hunt. Jump into a corn pool or straw pile. Meet a real snake and collect goodies from costumed animals along a woodland trail. Also crafts and refreshments. (10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sat. $5-$8. GREAT GOLDEN PUMPKIN SEARCH

Join the scavenger hunt for golden pumpkinsand a chance for prizes. A family fun fest has arcade games, bouncy house and other activities. Food trucks will serve refreshments at the Minne-Mile Night Market, where vendors and artisans will set up shop. Acoustic music by Dan Israel, Adams Triangle and others. (Noon-10 p.m. Sat. Free.
