Family spotlights: Minnesota Children's Museum, Minnesota Zoo

The Minnesota Children's Museum has been experimenting, and the result is an exciting new exhibit. Opening Saturday, "Mastermind, Mold and Make" is designed to spark creative thinking, imagination and collaboration. Visitors can immerse themselves in multisensory hands-on areas. Design and build a project of your own, use stickers and other materials to transform a white room. (9 a.m.-8 p.m. Fri.-Sat.; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. next Sun. $9.50. MINNESOTA ZOO HARVEST FESTIVAL

Autumn is a great time to visit the Wells Fargo Family Farm. On display are animal-themed scarecrows.
