Llama Magic

Think Mom might like her very own llama for Mother's Day? Even if she's not into llamas, you can still visit the oldest private treaty sale of llamas and alpacas throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Learn about the fiber of these animals through exhibits, displays and activities. Purchase items made from llamas and alpacas including clothing, artwork and gifts. (10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat.-next Sun. Free. Washington County Fairgrounds, N. 40th St. and Manning Av., Lake Elmo. www.llamamagic.com.)

St. Paul Craftstravaganza

If your idea of fun includes a hot glue gun, a scrapbook or yarn, this is the event for you. Free workshops are held throughout the day in a variety of crafting media. The first 100 shoppers get a free swag bag. Peruse works by more than 140 participating artists and purchase handmade crafts and accessories. (9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat. Free. Fine Arts Center, Minnesota State Fairgrounds, Randall Av. and Cosgrove St., Falcon Heights. www. craftstravaganza.com.)
