World War II Weekend

Travel back to this era and learn about Minnesota's role on battlefields and at home. Costumed staff will share stories along with period displays. The thunderous sound of firing demonstrations will fill the air. Hands-on activities include crafts, games and an obstacle course. (10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat.-next Sun. $6-$11. LIVE AT THE LIBRARY

A celebration of the arts takes place at all Anoka County library locations and the Columbia Heights Public Library. Each venue will have a special assortment of diversions for families, including book sculpting, quilting and leather working. Various musicians will perform.
