Kwanzaa Family Day

Celebrate the "first fruits of the harvest" celebration with music by Bruce Henry and the Walker West Academy Jazz Ensemble and storytelling with Danielle Daniel. Living Soul Cuisine head chef Cynthia Johnson and Rose McGee, owner and chief baker of Deep Roots Gourmet Desserts, will lead cooking demonstrations. BELL MUSEUM

Need something to do with the kids over holiday break? The Bell Museum has extra ExploraDome shows this week. Visitors can travel from the subatomic realm to the edge of the known universe through these hands-on planetarium shows. Current exhibits at the museum include "Insect Illustration," which describes varies species and organisms on Earth, and "Dig It! Secrets of the Soil," which displays how soil sustains life.
