Minneapolis Police Chief Janeé Harteau held hands with Rochelle Banks-Wowo during a joint celebration and remembrance at North Mississippi Regional Park in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
Banks-Wowo is the grandmother of Nizzel George. The day marked the one-year anniversary of the shooting death of 5-year-old Nizzel George.
Friends and family were also celebrating the 70th birthday of his great-grandmother Nancy Lee Banks and a baby shower for Nizzel’s mother, Christina Banks.
