LeDuc was a prominent attorney, Civil War officer and entrepreneur who served as U.S. commissioner of agriculture under President Rutherford B. Hayes. The house, an unaltered example of classic Gothic Revival architecture, was completed in 1866. Bring a lawn chair and stay for a free concert at 7 p.m. David Pattridge and the Levee Singers will entertain with river tunes, patriotic and gospel songs and sing-along favorites.
