State Capitol celebration

The Capitol renovations are complete and Minnesotans can witness the improvements. The three-day event begins with a ceremony and ribbon cutting followed by tours of the 112-year-old building. Children can make art and participate in other activities. Party like its 1999 as DJ Dudley D provides tunes for a Prince dance party. Other attractions include a video of the restoration, marble-cutting demonstration, photo challenge, scavenger hunt and performances. (7:30 a.m.-10 p.m. today; 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Sat.; 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Sun. 75 W. Martin Luther King Blvd., St. Paul. mnhs.org.)
