Aussie animals

A bit of Australia is visiting Minnesota this summer. "Kangaroo Crossing," a temporary exhibit at the Minnesota Zoo, gives guests a glimpse of the Outback. A habitat in the Northern Trail mimics the land down under and features kangaroos, wallabies and emus. This weekend features face painting, other family activities and Outback keeper talks. (9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat.-Sun. $12-$18. Minnesota Zoo, 13000 Zoo Blvd., Apple Valley. 952-431-9500. minnesotazoo.org.)
