CULTIVATE FESTIVAL

It's fun with food at this event with exhibits, live music and featured eats. Celebrity chefs Amanda Freitag, Andrew Zimmern and others make appearances. Learn about the difference between factory vs. farm, fresh vs. processed and even how to make guacamole from scratch. The Artisans Hall features samples of regional and artisanal foods. A kids zone gets little ones involved in the action with an interactive chalkboard, snack station, T-shirt painting and more. (11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sat. Free. Loring Park, Oak Grove St. and Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. www.chipotlecultivate.com.)
