Two men stabbed at the Minnesota State Fair on Sunday did not stab each other, but were not cooperating with investigators in identifying their attacker, police said Monday.
The victims, identified Monday as Pnarypeo Chap and Sarasovarn Sourng, both 28, remained hospitalized Monday at Regions Hospital in St. Paul for non-life-threatening stab wounds to their abdomens. No one had been arrested as of Monday afternoon.
They were attacked at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Cooper Street and Dan Patch Avenue after a fight, police said.
Fair officials said that the two were injured during what was termed an altercation. Investigators do not believe the attack was random.
No weapons had been recovered at the scene, despite an extensive search.
State Fair Police Chief Art Blakey Jr. said the last stabbing at the fair was in 2007.
