Facebook post says Stoudermire quitting

Receiver Troy Stoudermire, suspended by the Gophers for "conduct detrimental to the team," intends to transfer to another program, according to a post on his Facebook page.
Stoudermire, the Gophers' career record-holder in kickoff return yardage, was suspended indefinitely by coach Tim Brewster on Wednesday. Hours later, his Facebook status read, "Troy Stoudermire is no longer a Gopher (and is) ready to take my talent to a top D-1 school where I will be appreciated and respected as a player!"
Stoudermire has not asked to be released from his scholarship, nor informed the coaching staff that he is leaving, a university spokesman said. Having played three games this season, he would be eligible to play only one more Division I season at another school, and would have to sit out the 2011 season under NCAA transfer rules.
The junior from Dallas is the Gophers' third-leading receiver this season, with six catches for 114 yards, including a 49-yard touchdown against South Dakota, the Gophers' longest play from scrimmage this season.
He also ranks third in Big Ten history in kick return yardage, needing 179 yards to catch record-holder Derrick Mason of Michigan State.
