Facebook debuts 360-degree video

Facebook sees everything

Is plain old video not enough? Facebook is adding 360-degree video to your News Feed. This fancy new visual trickery allows viewers to move around the video (while it's in motion) by dragging a finger across a smartphone screen (or cursor on a desktop, if you still use one of those). Facebook debuted its first 360-degree vid with a short "Star Wars" clip of hover crafts speeding through a desert planet. No sign of Jar Jar, thankfully.
