Face Time: The crowning of Princess Kay of the Milky Way

Friends, relatives and former royalty turned out Aug. 21 for what has become a venerable State Fair tradition: the crowning of Princess Kay of the Milky Way.

In a ceremony on the fairgrounds, MarJenna McWilliam, a 20-year-old college student from Winger, Minn., was selected from among 12 dairy princesses to become the 60th Princess Kay. McWilliam and the other dairy princesses then received a uniquely Minnesotan honor: having their likenesses carved in butter.
