Facade falls from Uptown apartment building, damaging cars

For the second time in as many days, a facade fell from a Minneapolis building, this time involving an Uptown apartment building.

For the second time in as many days, a facade fell from a Minneapolis building, this time involving an apartment building in Uptown.

Bricks forming a facade on the building on the 3100 block of Emerson Avenue S. fell around 1 a.m. Friday, damaging parked cars, but causing no injuries.

On Thursday, part of an outer wall of a commercial building in the city's warehouse district collapsed. No one was injured in that incident.
