Explosion warning: "Boom Goes the Dynamite" guy gets TV gig in Alexandria

Fun stuff.

Remember the "Boom Goes the Dynamite" guy? Of course you do. And if you live in Alexandria or the surrounding communities, you will be getting re-acquainted with Brian Collins. Per the KSAX-TV web site (h/t Deadspin):

Brian may look familiar to you even though he just joined the KSAX news team. Before starting his tv reporting career in Texas, Brian appeared in several magazines and on television shows for coining the phrase "boom goes the dynamite." He dropped the catch phrase after nearly everything went wrong during his first on air experience his freshman year of college at Ball State University. Brian later caught up with fellow alumni David Letterman and even appeared on his show.

This post wouldn't be complete, of course, without the requisite clip of his meltdown. Good for Brian to have the wherewithal to stick with broadcasting and make a career our of it.
