Excessive Rain Potential Early Week

Outbreaks of heavy, drenching thunderstorms will unleash torrential rainearly in the week between central Texas and Lower Michigan. This corridor willspan much of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma as well.Widespread rainfall of 1-2 inches through Tuesday evening will characterizethis belt. Urban and small stream flooding will be the most far-reachingimpacts.

An area of northeastern Texas, Arkansas, eastern Oklahoma and southernMissouri will get local rainfall reaching 4 to 6 inches. Here, flash floodingcould be serious.
