Super Bowl of homes

For some people, an exquisitely designed home is as appealing as an exciting Super Bowl game. On Feb. 3, the NFL Alumni Artisan Home Tour will showcase four $1 million-plus fully decorated residences in the western metro suburbs. They range from a 13,000-square-foot French Country inspired estate with river views to a Nantucket-style farmhouse in Shorewood. Staff from builders John Kraemer & Sons, Stonewood, Denali Custom Homes and Lecy Bros. will be on hand to answer questions. Tourgoers will ride a motor coach to each home, with the last stop at the historic Lafayette Club in Minnetonka Beach. Former Viking Matt Blair, and other NFL Alumni, will attend the lunch and reception. The event is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 3. Cost is $200. Proceeds benefit the Builders Association of the Twin Cities Foundation. For tickets, go to artisanhometour.org.
