Poet Robert Bly will be at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Av. S., Mpls., at 7 p.m. April 13 to launch his new book, "Like the New Moon I Will Live My Life." He will be joined in the reading by a multitude of friends, including poets Tony Hoagland, Freya Manfred, Jim Moore, Connie Wanek, Joyce Sutphen, Thomas R. Smith, Ed Bok Lee and others. The new collection, published by White Pine Press, was culled from out-of-print books, chapbooks and uncollected work spanning 50 years.
Here is one of the poems from the collection, reprinted with permission:

The earth has rocks in it that hum at early dawn.
As I turn to go in, I see my shadow reach for the latch.
