Eric Benet, Mint show canceled

And in other ex-hubby news...

It's never a good sign when we here at the newspaper only find out about a concert just a couple weeks before it's happening. Such was the case with the poorly organized/hyped Sexy Soul Tour led by Halle Berry's ex Eric Benet with Ledisi and local greats Mint Condition, which was supposed to land at the Orpheum Theatre tomorrow night but is now canceled (as are all dates). No reason has been given yet, but the overall lack of information pretty well explains it. The high ticket prices ($75-$46) also were no doubt a culprit. The Hennepin Theatre Trust site says refunds will be given at points of purchase.

In related news (related both via the Mint connection and the celebs-with-lesser-known-hubbies thing), the tabloid/gossip sites are reporting that former Mint Condition member Keri Lewis is now estranged from his "Dancing With the Stars"-starring wife of eight years, Toni Braxton. Too bad. That calls for a little "Nothing Left to Say" from Keri's old St. Paul pals.
