Not entirely surprisingly, Matt Entenza pulled out of the endorsement process shortly before noon Saturday. Having long said he'd run in the primary, he said he didn't want to "prolong" the delegates' work.

Before he did so, he took the stage, saying, "The party in charge of this state has failed us, time and again," he said of the Republicans and Gov. Tim Pawlenty. "Adequate is not a goal, it is a failure."
