End 1st: Minnetonka 1, Lakeville North 0

Goal from Gardiner gives Skippers early lead

March 12, 2010 at 12:55AM

Max Gardiner uncorked a shot for a goal at 9:46 on a nice drop pass from Andrew Prochno. The Skippers have been the better team, but Lakeville North is keeping its poise and even got crowd reaction on a few near misses. Speaking of close but no cee-gar, sophomore Sam Rothstein intercepted a Lakeville North pass and just put his shot over the net. It would have given the Skippers a shorthanded goal, but a nice play nonetheless.
