Two days before opening, the encore engagement of "When a Man Loves a Diva" has been cancelled. The show had been scheduled to run at the Lab Theater in Minneapolis Oct. 18-Nov. 10.
The producer, Mary K. Leer, cited a family "medical emergency" for the scotching of the Sanford Moore-led musical revue in which Dane Stauffer (above left), Ben Bakken and Julius Collins III perform the hits of female superstars such as Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt and Whitney Houston.
