"Almost a million Minnesotans agreed with us on where this state needs to go," Emmer said during his concession speech Wednesday morning. "Our campaign came from virtual obscurity.
"There will not be an election contest, and I will not be involved," he said.
But Emmer, in nodding to Minnesota's next governor, DFLer Mark Dayton, added: "Mark Dayton was not elected to be governor of Minnesota Democrats."
