After a detour into Americana with some hotshot Nashville and Texas musicians, Elvis Costello is returning to the road with his Imposters, with a June 29 concert at the State Theatre in Minneapolis. Unlike earlier this year, this is not expected to be a show where Costello spins a wheel of songs (a la TV's "Wheel of Fortune") that helps him choose his playlist. His latest album, "National Ransom," was released in November. Produced by T Bone Burnett, it featured guests Vince Gill, Leon Russell, Buddy Miller and Marc Ribot. Costello last performed in the Twin Cities in February 2010 on "A Prairie Home Companion." His last proper concert appearance was July 2009 at Taste of Minnesota. Tickets, priced from $49 to $89, will go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday at the State box office and Ticketmaster outlets.
