Rep. Keith Ellison was quoted by The Hill's Floor Action Blog giving a late-night speech on the House floor complaining about proposed Republican budget cuts. "Republicans got themselves elected by taking advantage of people's pain," the Minnesota Democrat said. Ellison was one of many Democrats who spoke out on the floor Thursday night to argue that Republicans aren't focused on jobs. Ellison's speech, coming moments before the House's 10 p.m. adjournment, included the line that GOP cuts are "just cold-hearted and mean."
