Edmonton ends United's win streak

Minnesota suffered its first loss of the NASL fall season.

FC Edmonton scored twice in a seven-minute span of the second half Sunday in Edmonton, handing Minnesota United FC its first defeat of the NASL fall season, 2-1.

Chad Burt scored in the 64th minute, and Lance Laing scored the winner in the 71st minute. Daniel Mendes scored United's goal.

United, which was unbeaten in seven games in a row in the fall season and 11 in a row overall, fell to 5-1-2 and remains second in the NASL fall standings.

Edmonton improved to 4-1-1 in its past six, with the only loss coming against the Loons in Blaine.
