Timothy T. Nipper, an Eden Prairie lawyer convicted six times since 2006 for criminal offenses that included disorderly conduct, drunken driving and violating no-contact orders, was suspended on Thursday for at least 90 days, according to a Supreme Court order last week.
At least one disorderly conduct conviction and three no-contact violations were related to a girlfriend or her family, an Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility petition stated.
Nipper also failed to communicate with a client or refund an unearned retainer.
Before reinstatement, Nipper must comply with chemical-dependency and psychological treatment plans. If reinstated, he must provide urine samples and pass the professional responsibility portion of the state bar exam.
