Eden Prairie school officials have pushed back a decision on controversial school boundary changes to allow for more feedback.
Superintendent Melissa Krull was planning to make a decision on proposed changes to attendance lines by early November. District leaders decided to hold a seventh and final public input meeting this week and to continue to gather input the rest of the month.
A finalized new school boundary map will be released in December, spokeswoman Camie Melton Hanily said Tuesday. The school board meets Dec. 7 and 21.
The proposed changes redraw boundary lines to move fifth- and sixth-graders into elementary schools that now house grades K-4 as well as balance enrollments in elementary schools by socioeconomic status and building capacity. About 1,100 students would be assigned to different schools.
