The Eden Prairie Eagles football team has climbed into the Top 20 among the nation's elite high school programs.
That's according to the latest USA Today ranking, published today.
Eden Prairie, which thumped Cretin-Derham Hall, 50-21, over the Thanksgiving weekend for the Class 5A Minnesota state championship, moves up to 19th. The Eagles were No. 24 the previous week. Eden Prairie ended the season 14-0.
USA Today also compiles regional rankings, and places Eden Prairie third in the Midwest, behind two schools from Cincinnati.
