Eddie Fisher recollection: live TV nightmare

Well, not a big nightmare, but nightmarish.

The guy was a pro, as you can see in this clip below - it's Coke Time, a 1953 show he was paid a very large amount of money to do. I'm sure it was live. Which make what happens all the more mortifying, because someone screwed up. Don't know if it was someone calling the shots in the booth, or the floor director, or something else. But imagine yourself being paid a million dollars for your job, you're life, everyone's doing the mambo, and there's a moment when it looks like the entire thing could fall apart right there.
