Eastview and Park Center drew the top seeds Saturday in the girls' basketball state tournament set to begin on Tuesday.
Eastview is the No. 1 seed in Class 4A. The Lightning will play St. Paul Central in the opening game at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Target Center. In Class 3A, top seed Park Center will play Simley at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Target Center.
Scheduling conflicts at local arenas prompted the Minnesota State High School League to start the tournament on Tuesday instead of Wednesday.
Among other changes: Quarterfinal games in Class 3A will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday. Some games will be played in Mariucci Arena, home of Gopher hockey, on Wednesday and Thursday. The tournament's semifinal and championship games will be at Williams Arena rather than Target Center.
